Integrations​

This chapter describes connecting OSF to existing ecosystems and tool chains — such as the scientific Python ecosystem or data/AI frameworks. Each integration is documented independently and contains an API overview, installation instructions and references to the source code.

The language implementations of the format itself (Delphi, Rust, Python, C++, Java …) are described in their own chapter Implementations.

Currently available:

  • Python — The osfdata package with full OSF4/OSF5 support, NumPy integration and a Rust foundation.

Bindings to Apache Arrow, PyTorch, TensorFlow, MCP and LangChain are planned — see Planned integrations. The repository on GitHub carries the current status.
