The profile menu

The profile menu provides users with a central point of contact for various actions and information. This chapter explains the functions and options available in the profile menu. To use the profile menu, simply click on the profile icon in the header of the page. The menu will expand and you can select one of the menu items described above to perform the desired action or display the required information.

The profile menu is displayed in the header of the page and can be opened by clicking on the corresponding icon. It contains the following menu items:

Profile

The "Profile" menu item takes the user to their own profile page. Here the user can view and edit their personal information.

Tenant Info

Under "Tenant Info", users can find important information about their current account. This can be details about the subscription, usage or other account-specific data. The Tenant Info must be activated separately for users and is therefore not visible to every user.

Documentation

The menu item "Documentation" takes the user to the documentation of the IoT application you are currently using. Here they will find detailed instructions on how to use the platform and solutions to common problems.

API Description

API Description opens an interactive page where users can view and even test the API of our platform. This allows developers to better understand the API and seamlessly integrate applications. A detailed description, as well as help and application examples for using the API will follow. The API documentation must be activated separately for users and is therefore not accessible to all users.

Policy

The "Policy" menu item contains the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of our platform. Users can view the terms of use and privacy policy here.

About

The "About" menu item informs the user about the current software version of our application. This helps users and administrators to always stay up to date and to specify the corresponding version number for any bug reports. For servers hosted by Optimeas, it is not necessary to specify the version number, but for self-hosted instances it can sometimes be helpful if our developers do not have direct access or contact to the respective administrator.

Switch Role

"Switch Role" allows users to change their role within their account. This is particularly useful if a user is a member of different projects. Using this menu item, they can easily switch between the different roles and projects.

Logout

Finally, the "Logout" menu item allows users to securely log out of their account. Please always log out of the platform when you have finished your work. This is important to ensure the security of your data and account.
