Policy
In the "Policy" section in the optiCLOUD settings, you have the option of defining your own General Terms and Conditions (GTC). This section is important if you use the platform to offer a service to your end customers, other stakeholders or external persons in general or to provide insights into your tenant's data. Here you can define your individual terms and conditions, which are displayed in addition to the system-wide terms and conditions. These terms define how the platform can be used, what rights and obligations users have and what rules of conduct apply. The ability to define individual T&Cs provides legal certainty and transparency for all users of your platform. They create clear expectations and rules that help to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts. The "Policy" settings in optiCLOUD allow you to design and customize the legal aspects of your platform. This flexibility helps you to meet the needs of your users and customers while maintaining the integrity and transparency of your service. Remember that clearly formulated and legally effective T&Cs make an important contribution to the successful use of your IoT platform.

Use of the integrated text editor
In our policy section, we provide you with a user-friendly text editor with which you can write your own terms and conditions. This editor allows you to format the text according to your requirements and insert specific clauses or conditions. You can make your T&Cs clear and understandable to ensure that users can easily understand them.
Supplement to system-wide GTCs
It is important to note that your individual T&Cs are always added to the system-wide T&Cs. This means that they must not contradict or negate these system-wide terms and conditions. Instead, your individual T&Cs should clarify or supplement them to cover the specific requirements of your service or application.
Possibility to define your own system-wide GTCs
If you operate your own server instance of our platform, you have the option of defining your own system-wide T&Cs. This gives you full control over the framework conditions for the use of your platform.
